Just after his brother Michael's passing, Tito performs a few tribute to Michael gigs in the Summer of 2009 before doing a UK tour as supporting act for co-Motown legend Gladys Knight Midgnight Train to Love Farewell Tour in October. Tito is backed by the 8-piece band The Funk Brothers during the tour and he pays tribute to Michael as he sings a medley of Jackson Five hits in memory of his younger brother, helped by their cousin Nicole Jackson.

Tito says: “The UK was a very special place to my brother Michael and I’m so excited to be able to pay my respects to his fans there. To be able to do this while supporting our dear friend Gladys is a complete blessing. Not many people know this, but it was actually Gladys who introduced my brothers and I to Berry Gordy which led to us signing to Motown Records and the rest, as they say, is history.”
- Tito Jackson about joining Gladys on the UK tour (2009)
“Wasn’t Michael great? Definitely, definitely. We all have a little blues in our lives. I definitely have the
blues, having lost so much in my life and now my brother.”
